Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leon Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Gers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gers has chosen Iron Maiden - The Trooper as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Reid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Gers!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gers lands with a cross.

Reid gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gers to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Reid is trying to defend but Gers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gers.
Gers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gers tries to control but Reid wriggling away.

Gers goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reid is on top in guard.

Gers has his feet on Reid's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Reid jumps guard but Gers stands there with Reid around his waist. Reid gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Gers counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Gers bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gers stands up and beckons Reid to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fight stays on the outside here - Reid looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gers pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Reid tests Gers's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Gers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reid sprawls well initially but Gers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gers is thwarting Reid's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dave Gers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Leon Reid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gers dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Reid. That did some damage!

Dave Gers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Gers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
