The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rivera takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
La Fleur throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rivera looks to land a combination but La Fleur avoids it well.
Rivera lands a straight punch to the body, keeping La Fleur at a distance.
Rivera fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
La Fleur is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rivera misses with a straight right.
La Fleur connects with a nice looking jab.
La Fleur seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Rivera shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! La Fleur is backing up but Rivera catches him with a final right hook that drops him! La Fleur covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Rivera Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
