The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Thornton's half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Thornton is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
It looks like Thornton is going to stand back up.
Thornton thows a huge punch but Perez dodges it nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Thornton will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Perez up against the cage.

Thornton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Perez can't fight it off and eventually Thornton manages to take the fight to the floor. Perez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
