Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolf Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walt Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter has chosen Emalkay - When I Look At You as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Wolf Christian has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wolf Christian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Walt Potter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Christian.
Christian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Christian looks to score with a jab to the body but Potter is just out of range.
A swing and a miss from Christian.
Christian throws a series of punches but Potter moves out of range.
Potter closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Christian to the mat! Christian manages to get full guard.
Potter's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Christian on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Christian tries to get out of the position.
Potter trying to control but Christian is working from the bottom.
Christian wants to stand and escape but Potter is having none of it.

Potter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Christian.
Potter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Christian is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christian is not content to let Potter control the position.
Potter is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Potter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Christian defends it well.

Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Christian's waist but Christian gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.
Wolf Christian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Potter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Christian looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Horrible takedown by Potter or perhaps it was just good defense by Christian which made him look bad.

Potter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Christian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Christian won't allow Potter to get back to his feet.
