PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Rodstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Pasadinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pasadinho has chosen Foo Fighters - My Hero as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodstrong swinging wilding here.
Pasadinho slips a jab and a cross from Rodstrong.
Pasadinho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rodstrong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pasadinho paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A head kick lands from Pasadinho that sends Rodstrong to the canvas. Rodstrong tries to scramble back to his feet but Pasadinho brings him back down into side control.

Rodstrong is rocked!

It looks like Rock Rodstrong has been cut.
Pasadinho lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Oh Rodstrong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rodstrong is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Pasadinho tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Pasadinho is working to tighten is grip on Rodstrong's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rodstrong has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pasadinho is really squeezing tight and eventually Rodstrong passes out! Pasadinho breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
