Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cus Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thor Oakenhorse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oakenhorse has chosen TechnoViking - TechnoVikiing as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr takes a swing at Oakenhorse's ribcage but misses.
Oakenhorse slips under a jab.
Jr misses with a straight left.
Oakenhorse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jr sprawls well. Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oakenhorse gets slowly back to his feet.
Jr swings for the body but Oakenhorse moves out of range.
Jr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Oakenhorse gets the takedown into side control.
Jr tries to escape but Oakenhorse is in control.
An elbow from Oakenhorse crashes against the mat.

Oakenhorse wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jr, who protects the arm well.

Oakenhorse looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Jr is looking to regain half guard here but Oakenhorse keeps moving and retains side control.

Oakenhorse swings around for an armbar but Jr sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Oakenhorse's guard.

Oakenhorse has an active guard here but Jr has managed to pass into half guard.
Still in half guard, Jr seems content to control.

Jr moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Oakenhorse.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jr throws a hook to the side of Oakenhorse's head but Oakenhorse sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Oakenhorse shoots in looking for a takedown. Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Oakenhorse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Oakenhorse is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jr sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Thor Oakenhorse is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jr throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oakenhorse sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jr scores with a jab. Oakenhorse acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Jr looks to land a combination but Oakenhorse avoids it well.
Oakenhorse shoots in but no luck this time.
Cus Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thor Oakenhorse.

Jr misses with a hook. Oakenhorse ducked under it nicely.
Jr swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jr throws a hook but Oakenhorse avoids it easily.

Oakenhorse drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Oakenhorse has Jr in his guard.

Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oakenhorse has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Oakenhorse's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jr happy to just control the position for now.
