Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ontario Blackfoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Bruens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruens is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: River Below. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ontario Blackfoot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Bruens!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackfoot takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Blackfoot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bruens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blackfoot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bruens has managed to get both his arms back between Blackfoot's legs - danger averted.

Blackfoot working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bruens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bruens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blackfoot has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bruens is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Blackfoot.

Blackfoot is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bruens pulls his head out easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bruens shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blackfoot pinned against the cage. Blackfoot gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bruens slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Blackfoot will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bruens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blackfoot avoids it really well and circles away.

Bruens is controlling Blackfoot's position as best he can from this difficult position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bruens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ontario Blackfoot showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bruens has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
