Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Callaghan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Dance. Callaghan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dance tries to score a power double leg takedown but Callaghan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dance somewhat.
Dance connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Callaghan feints and then cracks Dance's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dance down.
Dance avoids a kick to the body.

Callaghan misses the jab.
Richard Callaghan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Richard Callaghan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dance throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Callaghan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Callaghan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dance fails with a takedown attempt.
Dance throws a right and a left that both miss.

Callaghan throws a head kick but Dance moves out of range.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dance takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Callaghan looks to land a body kick but Dance moved away.
Callaghan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dance moves away.
Dance shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Callaghan pinned against the cage. Callaghan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Dance. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Callaghan misses with a jab to the body

and Dance counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Callaghan!

Callaghan tries to clinch up but Dance circles away and keeps his distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Callaghan moves in looking to clinch but Dance pushes him off.
Callaghan lands a head kick!

Dance throws a leg kick but Callaghan sees it coming and moves out of range.
Callaghan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Callaghan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dance sees it coming and avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Richard Callaghan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Callaghan throws a shot from downtown. Dance moves away and avoids it.
Dance throws a right hand that Callaghan ducks under and follows up with a left that Callaghan also avoids with ease.
Dance circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dance keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Callaghan misses with a straight left.
Dance tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Callaghan swivels and escapes.

Callaghan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Callaghan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Dance counters with a nice double leg into side control. Callaghan won't be happy with that.
Dance throws a strike aimed at the side of Callaghan's head but Callaghan avoids it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dance sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Callaghan is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Dance has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dance is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Dance working the body and head with strikes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Callaghan gets back to half guard.

Bill Dance showed his dominance in that final round.
