Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arashi Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omi Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arashi Yamada has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Sakurai.
Sakurai staying out of range there.
Sakurai looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamada is just out of range.
Sakurai throws the kick towards the body but Yamada avoids it.
A big right from Yamada misses.
Sakurai shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yamada stuffs the takedown attempt from Sakurai. Sakurai gets slowly back to his feet.
Yamada avoids a kick to the body.
Sakurai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yamada takes a swing at Sakurai's ribcage but misses.
Sakurai shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sakurai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

and Yamada makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yamada with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sakurai to score with a decent uppercut.
Yamada lands with a hook. Sakurai tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sakurai fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Omi Sakurai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sakurai throws a combination. Yamada tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sakurai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Yamada scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Yamada darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Yamada connects with a single shot there.

Sakurai takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Yamada misses with a wild body shot.
Sakurai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Yamada sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Arashi Yamada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omi Sakurai.

Yamada throws a jab but it's blocked by Sakurai.
Yamada connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sakurai. Sakurai circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Yamada throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sakurai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamada pinned against the cage. Yamada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Yamada throws a hook to the side of Sakurai's head but Sakurai sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A jab from Yamada finds it's way through Sakurai's defenses.
Sakurai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yamada.
Yamada goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Sakurai walks into a stiff left hand from Yamada.
Sakurai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yamada.
Sakurai is trying desperately to land a takedown but Yamada is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Sakurai.
Nice sprawl there from Yamada as Sakurai shoots in.
Yamada punishes Sakurai's body with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yamada comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Sakurai walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Yamada fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sakurai on the side of the head.
Yamada tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sakurai was well out of range. Poor timing from Yamada.

Sakurai is looking to clinch but Yamada is avoiding it.
Yamada lands the left hand.
Sakurai takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Yamada lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Sakurai is rocked!
Yamada connects with a right hand. Sakurai shakes it off.
Sakurai is still on wobbly legs! Can Yamada finish him?
Sakurai tries to move into range but Yamada moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Sakurai misses with a takedown attempt
and Yamada counters with a big right hand! Oh Sakurai is in trouble here! Yamada follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arashi Yamada!
