Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aulis Multio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aulis Multio!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Multio.
Multio misses with a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Steele.
Multio ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steele moves away.
Multio walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Steele bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Steele lands a nice looking body shot.
Multio thuds a left hand into Steele's body.

Steele throws a leg kick that misses.

Steele throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Aulis Multio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Multio fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Multio fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Steele looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
George Steele is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Multio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steele sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Multio somewhat.

and Steele counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Multio is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Multio fails with the takedown
and Steele counters with a right hand to the body.
Multio looks to score with a jab to the body but Steele is just out of range.
Multio is trying desperately to land a takedown but Steele is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Multio.
Steele takes a swing at Multio's ribcage but misses.
Steele tries to clinch there but Multio circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Multio throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Multio feints and as Steele raises his hands in defense, Multio changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Steele pulls Multio in close to his closed guard and prevents Multio from doing any damage or advancing position.

Multio stands up over Steele, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Multio loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Multio slips a nice elbow through Steele's hands, connecting with Steele's forehead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Steele moves into full guard.
Multio postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Multio slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Steele is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Multio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Multio has managed to get both his arms back between Steele's legs - danger averted.

Aulis Multio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Multio gets cracked there but stands up to it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Aulis Multio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Multio has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
