Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Marston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ndemi Abasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ndemi Abasi enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Marston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ndemi Abasi!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abasi tries to clinch up.

Marston changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Abasi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Marston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Abasi keeps working.
Marston moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Marston goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Abasi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Marston but great work by Abasi.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Abasi moves in looking to clinch but Marston pushes him off.
Marston throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Marston clobbers Abasi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Marston counters with a single leg into guard. Abasi didn't expect that.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
