With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Gallloway!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Gallloway actively working from the bottom here.
Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gallloway keeps working.
Gallloway preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Williams content to control rather than advance.

Williams looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gallloway is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Williams is looking to take a break and control but Gallloway is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Williams wants to control from the top but Gallloway keeps moving.

Williams wants to work for an arm triangle but Gallloway is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Williams uses his free foot to push down on Gallloway's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gallloway.

Gallloway wants to control but Williams is having none of it.

Williams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gallloway!

Williams is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gallloway to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gallloway shrugs it off.
Williams avoids the attempt from Gallloway to control.

Gallloway keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Williams jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gallloway manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Williams thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Gallloway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
