Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greer Morimune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mustaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mustaine has chosen This Day We Fight! by Megadeth as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mustaine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Morimune.

Morimune shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mustaine but Mustaine pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Morimune jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mustaine walks away with a smile on his face. Morimune gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Mustaine bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morimune's head.

Morimune shoots in for a double leg but Mustaine sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Morimune sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mustaine's guard.
Mustaine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morimune uses his free foot to push down on Mustaine's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mustaine.

Morimune is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mustaine has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mustaine!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Morimune throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mustaine escapes and throws Morimune's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Morimune tries to bench press Mustaine off him but Mustaine keeps the position.

Morimune is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mustaine's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Greer Morimune will probably get the nod.
