The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from McRae.

No luck for McRae with that takedown attempt.
Venable finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Ricky Venable seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Venable cracks McRae with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Venable keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
McRae shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Venable sprawls well. Venable wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McRae gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McRae throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Venable's waist but Venable gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McRae off to one side.

McRae sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Venable lands with a kick to the temple. McRae shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McRae is rocked!
Venable grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! McRae takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Venable cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
