Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maxime Laforce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Tretow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tretow has chosen Days of Thunder as his entrance music. Maxime Laforce is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tretow shoots in for a double leg but Laforce sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tretow fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Laforce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Laforce misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tretow closes this distance looking for a takedown but Laforce circles away.

Tretow goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Laforce has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tretow but great work by Laforce.
Laforce works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Laforce lands a nice short elbow.
Laforce is looking to take a break and control but Tretow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laforce got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tretow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Laforce has managed to get both his arms back between Tretow's legs - danger averted.

Laforce is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Laforce tries for a takedown. No joy.
Tretow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Laforce is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tretow pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Tretow has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Laforce clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Tretow keeps control of the position easily here as Laforce tries to buck him off.

Tretow is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Laforce defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Laforce accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tretow preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Tretow has his foot on Laforce's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laforce works his way back into a safe position though.
Tretow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Laforce throws a nice looking combination but Tretow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tretow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Laforce avoids it really well and circles away.
Tretow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Laforce.
Tretow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laforce's waist but Laforce gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tretow off to one side.
Tretow has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laforce finds it's way round the side to connect with Tretow's head.

Maxime Laforce is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tretow is defended easily by Laforce.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Laforce's corner calls for a 1-2. Laforce obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Tretow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Tretow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Laforce's guard.

Tretow frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Laforce is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Laforce bucks up and throws Tretow to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Tretow counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Laforce is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Tretow shoots in looking for a takedown. Laforce tries to sprawl out of it but Tretow keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Laforce manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
