Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazuushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Kazuushi Sakuraba enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakuraba fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Delaney sprawls well initially but Sakuraba persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sakuraba is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sakuraba prevents Delaney from improving his position.

Delaney makes his way to full guard, as Sakuraba worked for a kimura.
Delaney pulls Sakuraba in to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sakuraba has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Delaney is proving hard to escape from.
Sakuraba wants to stand and escape but instead Delaney has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sakuraba wants to improve his position but instead Delaney has moved into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sakuraba looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sakuraba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delaney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Delaney wants to take a breather but Sakuraba is having none of it.

Delaney is working for a submission of some sort.
