Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stu Pendous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Joe Rogan enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stu Pendous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Rogan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan misses with a hook. Pendous ducked under it nicely.

Pendous closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pendous lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pendous accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Rogan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pendous. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pendous cracks Rogan with a solid left hand.


It looks like Joe Rogan has been cut.
Rogan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Pendous postures up.
Pendous scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Pendous is looking to work some ground and pound but Rogan has wrist control.

Rogan is trying to keep Pendous in close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rogan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Rogan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pendous.
Pendous wants to pass the guard but Rogan is keeping the position.
Pendous postures up and lands a big shot to Rogan's brow.
Pendous throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rogan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pendous is looking to take a break and control but Rogan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pendous missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Rogan is looking to improve his position.
Rogan is trying to control but can't.
Pendous not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rogan keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Pendous thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rogan's head.

Pendous drops an elbow to the side of Rogan's head.
Rogan has his hands clasped together around Pendous's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rogan tries to kick Pendous off but Pendous keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Pendous thows a huge punch but Rogan dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rogan is not content to let Pendous control the position.
Rogan wants to control but Pendous is keeping busy.
Rogan has hold of Pendous's hands but Pendous slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Pendous stands up out of the half guard.
Pendous closes the distance and clinches up with Rogan, looking for a takedown. Pendous pushes Rogan against the cage but Rogan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pendous is breathing heavily.

Rogan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pendous napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Rogan trying to control the position but Pendous is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Rogan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pendous was covering up waiting for the punch and Rogan finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rogan trying to move into half guard but instead Pendous has managed to sweep!
Rogan looking for a sweep. Not yet Rogan, not yet.
Pendous trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Pendous throwing strikes but missing.
Pendous stands up over Rogan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Pendous missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pendous distracts Rogan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rogan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rogan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Pendous pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogan is keeping the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pendous in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rogan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rogan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pendous.
Rogan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pendous manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pendous keeping full guard, as Rogan tries to pass.
Pendous keeping moving, preventing Rogan from controlling successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pendous holds on and takes a little breather.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rogan trying to control but Pendous is working from the bottom.
Rogan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Joe Rogan will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Good standup being displayed there by Rogan as he connects with a hook.
Left hook, right uppercut from Rogan.
Rogan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Rogan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pendous misses with a takedown attempt

and Rogan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pendous won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Rogan trying to control the action but Pendous is working from the bottom.

Rogan decides to stand back up.
Joe Rogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pendous darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pendous drops an elbow to the side of Rogan's head.

Rogan wants to control but Pendous is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rogan tries to get to full guard but Pendous has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pendous scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Pendous throwing shots but Rogan is blocking nicely.
Rogan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pendous is working away from the top position though.

Rogan wants to get back to full guard.
Pendous wants to get back to his feet.
Pendous missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Rogan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pendous.
Stu Pendous overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rogan is looking for a sweep. Pendous is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Pendous is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rogan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pendous.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A head kick misses from Rogan.
Rogan misses with a body kick.

Rogan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pendous looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rogan wants to control but Pendous is keeping him busy.

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Rogan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rogan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
