Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Dwyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonnie Kiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiger shoots in looking for a takedown. Dwyer tries to sprawl out of it but Kiger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dwyer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dwyer to the mat! Dwyer manages to get full guard.

Kiger drops back looking for a leg! Dwyer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dwyer manages to kick Kiger off! Kiger jumps back into Dwyer's guard.
Dwyer is looking to stand up but Kiger isn't so interested in that idea.
Kiger lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kiger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kiger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kiger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dwyer is looking to stand up but Kiger isn't so interested in that idea.

Kiger postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dwyer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kiger, into his guard.
Kiger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Dwyer looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dwyer works his way to full guard. Good work.
Kiger in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dwyer has Kiger pulled in close to control his posture.
Dwyer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kiger is controlling him.
Dwyer is breathing heavily.
Dwyer working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kiger.
Dwyer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kiger is one step ahead there.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kiger drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dwyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kiger has Dwyer in his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kiger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kiger is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Dwyer frees his head nicely. Oh but Kiger has switched to an armbar! Dwyer is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
