Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palhares is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Three 6 Mafia - It's A Fight . Lucio Palhares will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucio Palhares!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Bob.
Bob is working Palhares over with some ground and pound from side control.
Palhares tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Bob easily slips into full mount!
Palhares tries to reverse the position but Bob maintains control.
Palhares sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Bob looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Palhares is looking for a sweep. Bob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Palhares slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bob postures up and lands a big shot to Palhares's brow.
Palhares escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Palhares working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bob.
Bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Palhares tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Palhares holds on and takes a little breather.
Bob working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Palhares's head.
Bob lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Palhares controls Bob momentarily but Bob frees himself.
Palhares is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bob is refusing to be controlled, as Palhares sits in half guard.
Bob is concentrating on defense, preventing Palhares from advancing position.

Palhares seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bob does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bob wants to sweep but Palhares has passed to side control!
Palhares laying and praying for a moment but Bob takes advantage and regains half guard.
Palhares is working for a kimura but Bob is defending it quite comfortably.
Palhares passes to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Palhares tries to control but Bob wriggling away.
Bob sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Palhares seems to be looking for submissions.
Bob is not content to let Palhares control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lucio Palhares.
Bob scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Palhares has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
Bob is nestled in close to Palhares, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Palhares wants to get back to full guard.
Bob works his way into side control.
Bob in side control lands a decent elbow.
Palhares takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bob is chipping away with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bob cracks Palhares with a big right hand but Palhares just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Palhares struggling a bit here.
Bob working the ground and pound but Palhares is defending the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Bob dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Palhares throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bob bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bob scores with a couple of short elbows.
Palhares defending against the ground and pound.
Palhares tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bob looks up at the clock and then as Palhares takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bob smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Palhares can't do much from the bottom here.
Bob landing strikes.
Sloppy strikes there by Bob.
Bob moves into full mount!
Bob lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Palhares gets back to half guard.
Bob lands strikes from half guard.
Bob sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Palhares defending well though.
Palhares looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Palhares is breathing heavily.
Palhares has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bob is working away from the top position though.
Billy Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bob lands strikes from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bob lands a nice short elbow.
Bob passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bob pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Palhares in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Bob lands a heavy elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Palhares is rocked!
Bob looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Palhares covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
