Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buddy Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes into the arena with 2-Pac-Breathin' blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buddy Austin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Evans. No joy for Austin on that attempt.

Austin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Evans napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Austin is trying to get an arm triangle but Evans is defending well.
Evans is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Austin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Austin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Buddy Austin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Austin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Evans smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Austin fails to land the takedown.
Evans will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Evans pinned against the cage. Evans gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Austin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin has hold of Evans's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Evans tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Austin cranks the arm and Evans screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Evans, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Buddy Austin!
