PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lonnie Kiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Resina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lonnie Kiger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonas Resina!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Kiger. No joy for Resina on that attempt.

Resina gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kiger postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Resina is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kiger, into his guard.
Kiger will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kiger is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Resina wants to control from the top but Kiger keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Resina should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Resina won't allow Kiger to sweep him here.

Kiger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Resina doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Resina manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Resina content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Kiger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Resina's guard.

Kiger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kiger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Resina tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kiger stands up over Resina, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kiger works over Resina with some ground and pound from guard.
Resina manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kiger is in a horrible position here. Resina smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Resina is landing with some decent strikes but Kiger is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
