Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Northman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Guapo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Northman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Northman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Guapo!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Northman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Northman is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Northman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Guapo prevents it.
Guapo gets underhooks to prevent Northman's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Northman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Guapo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Guapo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Northman drops his hands momentarily and Guapo takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Guapo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Guapo clobbers Northman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Guapo lands with an uppercut that bounces Northman off the cage and back into rage.
Guapo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Northman is fending him off so far but Guapo persists. Nope, Northman circles away and we're back to standing.
Northman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Guapo looks to score with a jab to the body but Northman is just out of range.

Check out the look on Guapo's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guapo lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
You can see the frustration on Northman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Guapo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Northman parries the strikes from Guapo easily there. Guapo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Northman to escape.

Northman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Guapo swivels and escapes.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Northman has a hand on Guapo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Guapo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Guapo breaks from Northman's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Northman is squirming around, avoiding Guapo's attempts to control the action.
Northman avoids a strike by Guapo and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Guapo's guard! Fantastic escape!
Guapo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Northman's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Guapo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Northman some visible discomfort.

Johnny Guapo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Guapo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Northman can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Northman is in a horrible position here. Guapo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Johnny Guapo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Guapo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
