Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and steve brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cage's entrance music is "Can't Be Touched" by Roy Jones Jr.. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, steve brewer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cage closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming brewer to the mat! brewer manages to get full guard.
Cage prevents brewer from getting back to his feet.
brewer keeping moving, preventing Cage from controlling successfully.
Cage wants to pass the guard but brewer is keeping the position.
Cage stays in close to brewer's body and controls the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alexander Cage just wasn't active enough.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. brewer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
brewer tries to work over Cage's front leg with a kick but Cage checks it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cage looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well brewer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
