Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nougeria looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gonzalez is fending him off so far but Nougeria persists. Nope, Gonzalez circles away and we're back to standing.

Gonzalez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nougeria on the side of the head.

Gonzalez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gonzalez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nougeria parries the strikes from Gonzalez easily there. Gonzalez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Nougeria to escape.

Gonzalez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nougeria looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nougeria looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nougeria!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Gonzalez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Nougeria moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Gonzalez looks to score with a jab to the body but Nougeria is just out of range.

Diego Nougeria's cut is getting worse.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Nougeria. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gonzalez dances in with a quick combination. Nougeria is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Gonzalez snaps Nougeria's head back. Nougeria stumbles backwards against the cage. Gonzalez steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Nougeria's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Nougeria just didn't come prepared.
