The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi throws a right hand that Howard ducks under and follows up with a left that Howard also avoids with ease.

Takeshi gets a takedown into half guard.
Takeshi wants to control but Howard is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Takeshi wants to get back to his feet.

Howard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Takeshi pulls his head out easily.
Howard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Takeshi is trying to control. Howard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Takeshi missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Takeshi is breathing heavily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Howard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Takeshi to the mat! Takeshi manages to get full guard.

Howard drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Takeshi dives on top into guard.
Takeshi trying to control the position from guard on top but Howard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Howard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Takeshi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Howard has his feet on Takeshi's thighs here. He's pushed Takeshi off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Takeshi screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
