Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keenin Klein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pate Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keenin Klein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pate Boxer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klein throws a body punch but Boxer moves out of range.
Klein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Klein closes the distance and clinches.
Boxer blocking some punches.
Boxer wants to break the clinch but can't.
Klein throws a knee to the head but misses.
Boxer trying to stall but Klein improves his position.
Klein will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Boxer up against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Boxer throws an elbow but misses.
Klein is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Klein misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Boxer fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Boxer lands an elbow inside that Klein shrugs off.

Klein breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Klein is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Klein breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boxer tries to clinch but Klein is having none of it.
A head kick misses from Klein.
Boxer with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Klein stuffs the takedown attempt from Boxer. Boxer gets slowly back to his feet.
Pate Boxer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A left and a right from Boxer both land. Nice combination.
Klein throws a head kick but Boxer moves out of range.
Boxer circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boxer counters with an outside leg kick.
Boxer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Klein is fending him off so far but Boxer persists. Nope, Klein circles away and we're back to standing.
Keenin Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pate Boxer.

Boxer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Klein, pushing him back against the cage.
Boxer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Klein smiles and moves away.
Boxer looks for a takedown but Klein sprawls well.
Boxer fails to land the takedown.
Boxer looks gassed!
Boxer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klein's waist but Klein gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boxer off to one side.
Boxer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Klein.

Klein closes the distance looking to clinch

and Boxer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Boxer.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Boxer stands up over Klein, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Boxer is looking to work some ground and pound but Klein has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boxer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Boxer tries to stand but Klein is controlling from the bottom.
Boxer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Klein working for submissions but it's allowed Boxer to get to half guard.
Boxer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Klein with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Klein wants to get back to full guard.

Boxer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Klein knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Boxer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Klein!

Boxer lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Klein slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boxer prevents Klein from improving his position.
Klein flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Klein moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Klein had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Boxer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Klein Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Boxer's back instead.

Klein is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Boxer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Boxer for a finish.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boxer is trying to control his opponent's hands. Eventually Klein gets his hands free and sinks in a rear naked choke. For a while it looks like Boxer is going to survive but after struggling valiantly, he eventually has to tap out! Klein is your winner!
