Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Arson wants to control but Ariyoshi is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Arson is working for a submission of some sort.
Ariyoshi tries to get to full guard but Arson has control of the leg.
Ariyoshi is working hard here to advance position.
Arson works his way into side control.

Arson tries for a kimura but Ariyoshi is defending well.
Arson trying to control the action but Ariyoshi is working from the bottom.

Ariyoshi manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Ariyoshi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Ariyoshi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Arson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Arson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ariyoshi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Arson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ariyoshi keeps working.
Ariyoshi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Arson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Arson drops back looking for a leg! Ariyoshi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ariyoshi manages to kick Arson off! Arson jumps back into Ariyoshi's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Arson is looking to regain half guard here but Ariyoshi keeps moving and retains side control.
Ariyoshi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Arson will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of George Ariyoshi.

Arson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Arson is squirming around, avoiding Ariyoshi's attempts to control the action.
Arson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

George Ariyoshi showed his dominance in that final round.
