Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Masters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Kidder!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kidder drives through and clinches with Masters against the cage.

Masters gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kidder regains guard.
Kidder will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kidder looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kidder bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Masters's guard.

Kidder avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Masters keeping moving, preventing Kidder from controlling successfully.
Masters working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kidder.

Masters had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kidder is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Masters Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kidder's back instead.
Kidder trying to control the hands but Masters breaks the grip.

Masters is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kidder trying to control the action but Masters just sinks the hooks in.

Kidder tries to escape but Masters has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Masters is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Masters is breathing heavily.

Kidder is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kidder trying to control the hands but Masters breaks the grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kidder rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kidder wants to control but Masters is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kidder kicks Masters off and gets back to his feet.
Kidder closes this distance looking for a takedown but Masters circles away.
Masters tries for a takedown but Kidder circles away easily
and Kidder counters with a good low kick that Masters was not able to check.
Kidder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Masters shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Kidder is defending against the submission attempts here by Masters.

Masters is working for a kimura but Kidder is defending it quite comfortably.
Masters uses his free foot to push down on Kidder's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kidder.
Kidder is trying desperately to improve position.

Masters with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Masters moves to the back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Masters has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Kidder! Can he survive? No! He's out! Masters gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
