Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royce Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maltinga Piririca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Royce Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maltinga Piririca!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro shoots in but Piririca avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Castro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Piririca sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Castro somewhat.
Piririca stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Piririca wants it to stay on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Piririca's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Castro is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Piririca has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Piririca!

Piririca has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Castro is proving hard to escape from.

Piririca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Piririca can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well Piririca has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
