The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ahr shoots for a double leg takedown but Chidell sprawls well. He's pushed ahr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Luck Chidell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chidell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chidell looks to land a combination but ahr avoids it well.
Chidell throws a right hand that ahr ducks under and follows up with a left that ahr also avoids with ease.
Chidell tries to clinch but ahr moves out of range.
Chidell tries to bum rush ahr with a series of wild strikes but ahr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chidell fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chidell darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like serenity ahr has been cut.
Chidell wants to clinch up but ahr keeps it at a distance.
Chidell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but ahr circles away quickly and effectively.

ahr closes the distance and clinches up with Chidell, looking for a takedown. ahr pushes Chidell against the cage but Chidell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
ahr shoots in looking for a takedown. Chidell tries to sprawl out of it but ahr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chidell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for serenity ahr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
