Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Nechvidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolay Nechvidov acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolay Nechvidov!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nechvidov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nechvidov as he jumps to the side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Green looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nechvidov closes the distance and clinches.

Nechvidov lands a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.
Nechvidov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Nechvidov keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green pushing down on Nechvidov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Green seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nechvidov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Green is looking to advance position but Nechvidov won't allow it.
Green thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nechvidov is trying to stand up here but Green is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nechvidov goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Green closes the distance looking to clinch

and Nechvidov counters with a single leg into guard. Green didn't expect that.
Nechvidov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Green ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nechvidov moves away.

Green won't allow Nechvidov to sweep him here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Nechvidov counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Green!
Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Green sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Green wants to improve his position but Nechvidov is controlling well.

Green moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nechvidov holds on and takes a little breather.
Green sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nechvidov's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nechvidov kicks off Green and gets to his feet.
Green tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Nechvidov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Nechvidov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Green walks away with a smile on his face. Nechvidov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nechvidov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nikolay Nechvidov dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nechvidov drives through and clinches with Green against the cage.

Nechvidov has Green pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nechvidov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Green tumbling to the mat - Nechvidov dives into Green's guard.
Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nechvidov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Green to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nechvidov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Green pulls down on the head and he's put Nechvidov to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jason Green!
