Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kingston James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think James might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Big Mouth Strikes Again. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Kingston James!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Brophy!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

James closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
James misses with the ground and pound.
Brophy pushes James away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, James gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
James is looking to take a break and control but Brophy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

James scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

It looks like Kingston James has been cut.

Brophy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The fight stays on the outside here - James looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

James drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

James shoots for a takedown but Brophy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brophy paws at him with a jab and circles away.

James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
James stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brophy.

James throws a nice looking combination but Brophy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Brophy takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

James bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Brophy's head backwards.

Brophy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by James.

James takes the fight into the clinch.

James pulls Brophy into guard.

Brophy wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of James's closed guard. He's half up but James has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! James pivots and extends the arm, Brophy falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by James! Well done that man!
