Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lyle Alzado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakim Hamsho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alzado's entrance music is BLUNT- The Iron Maiden. A fine choice. Hamsho has chosen Jump Around as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamsho swinging wildly here.
Hamsho looks to land a combination but Alzado avoids it well.
Alzado blocks a head kick by Hamsho.
Alzado lands with a hook. Hamsho tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

and Hamsho counters by moving into the clinch.

Alzado has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hamsho avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Alzado is trying to break the clinch but Hamsho has him pressed against the cage.
Hamsho's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The crowd are getting on Hamsho's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Alzado tries for a takedown but Hamsho manages to get underhooks.

Alzado is trying to drag Hamsho to the mat but Hamsho just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lyle Alzado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Hamsho has cracked Alzado with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Hamsho lands another huge swinging hook and Alzado tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Alzado, before Hamsho can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hakim Hamsho!
