Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Fausto Carmelon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan D!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Carmelon misses.
Carmelon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

D dodges the punch combination from Carmelon.
Carmelon lands with a good body shot.
Carmelon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but D was well out of range. Poor timing from Carmelon.
Carmelon looks to land a left hand but D moved out of range nicely.

D is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Carmelon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

D goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Carmelon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for D but great work by Carmelon.

Carmelon decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Carmelon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
D looks gassed!

D ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

D is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
D seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carmelon does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

D is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Carmelon sees it coming and defends easily.

D is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Carmelon.

D doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Fausto Carmelon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carmelon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by D.

Carmelon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. D sees it coming and avoids it easily.
D shoots in but Carmelon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

You can see the frustration on D's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Carmelon's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
What can D do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carmelon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
