PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between cain velasqz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulldog has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
velasqz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bulldog.
Bulldog looks gassed!
Bulldog shoots in looking for a takedown. velasqz tries to sprawl out of it but Bulldog keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. velasqz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

velasqz drops Bulldog with a right and a left! velasqz comes rushing in but Bulldog regains his composure and manages to keep velasqz in guard.

Bulldog is rocked!

It looks like Jeff Bulldog has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
velasqz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

velasqz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and velasqz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

velasqz stands up over Bulldog, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

velasqz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bulldog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but velasqz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bulldog escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. velasqz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

velasqz gets to his feet and stands over Bulldog, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bulldog felt that one! velasqz unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bulldog from any more punishment!
