PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlovski comes to the cage accompanied by Now I Lay Thee Down by Machine Head. Lesnar is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by YOU JUST LOST - To ME. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladimir Arlovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Arlovski lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Arlovski misses with a hook to the ribs.
Arlovski digs a right hand into Lesnar's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lesnar's gas tank.
Arlovski lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lesnar backwards.


It looks like Randy Lesnar has been cut.
Arlovski is trying to break the clinch but Lesnar has him pressed against the cage.
Lesnar wants a takedown but no success here.

Lesnar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Arlovski clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lesnar throws a strike but Arlovski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lesnar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Arlovski manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lesnar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Arlovski throws a series of punches but Lesnar avoids them all with ease.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lesnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
