The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
knight fails with a takedown attempt.
William Zai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
knight closes the distance and clinches up with Zai, looking for a takedown. knight pushes Zai against the cage but Zai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zai throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Zai - that will leave a mark!
knight tries for a takedown but Zai sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
William Zai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derek knight.
knight looks gassed!
Zai slips a jab and a cross from knight.
Zai drops knight with a left and a right! Oh, knight is hurt - Zai dives into side control looking to finish!

Zai dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! knight has had enough and taps out.
