Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Sullyvan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner comes to the cage accompanied by Motorhead - Deaf forever. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullyvan connects with a nice looking jab.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sullyvan sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sullyvan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wagner is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wagner is working for a kimura but Sullyvan is defending it quite comfortably.
Sullyvan wants to get back to full guard but Wagner has mounted him!

Sullyvan's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Wagner wants to control the pace but Sullyvan is squirming around nicely.

Wagner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sullyvan has worked his arm free - good work by Sullyvan!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sullyvan lands a left and a right that send Wagner crashing to the mat, dazed. Sullyvan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sullyvan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wagner's head.
Oh Wagner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Wagner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sullyvan sprawls well. Sullyvan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wagner gets slowly back to his feet.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Sullyvan. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
