Couture comes to the cage accompanied by Eddie Franklin Just got KOd - Randy Couture. Eddie Franklin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Couture is looking for a sweep. Franklin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Couture shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Franklin as he jumps to the side.
Couture lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Couture.
Couture misses with a double jab.
Randy Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Franklin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Couture thows a left - swing and a miss!
A combination from Couture does no damage.

Franklin dodges the punch combination from Couture.
Nice cross by Couture.
Franklin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Couture throws out the jab.
Couture throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Franklin shoots in and drives through. Couture sprawls well.
Franklin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Couture's waist but Couture gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Franklin off to one side.
Randy Couture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddie Franklin.

A jab from Couture misses.
Franklin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Couture avoids it really well and circles away.
Couture lands a jab to Franklin's midsection.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Couture, as that shot connected.
Couture dips to his left and cracks Franklin with an uppercut!
Franklin moves out of range of the strikes.

Horrible takedown by Franklin or perhaps it was just good defense by Couture which made him look bad.
Franklin slips a jab from Couture.
Franklin takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Couture scores with a hook.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Couture!
Couture works the jab nicely.
BOOM! Couture lands a beautiful left hook that drops Franklin. Franklin tries to recover but Couture is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Franklin lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
