The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leopold with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Leopold lands a glancing blow to the side of Tan's head.

It looks like Wan Tan has been cut.
Leopold throws a low kick, looking for Tan's leg but Tan calmly moves out of range.
Leopold throws a leg kick but Tan moved away.
Tan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Leopold tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tan was well out of range. Poor timing from Leopold.

Tan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Tan shoots in looking for a takedown. Leopold tries to sprawl out of it but Tan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Leopold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Leopold is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tan rather than just go for the knockout.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Tan might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Leopold stalks Tan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tan's face. Tan staggers backwards, shaken.

Wan Tan's cut is getting worse.
Tan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Leopold throws a series of strikes that have Tan backpedaling.

Wan Tan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Tan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bryan Leopold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Leopold scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Leopold lands with a good body shot.

Tan takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Leopold ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Leopold works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Leopold bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tan's head backwards.

Jeez, Wan Tan's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Leopold connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Tan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wan Tan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
