Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Corey Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Huang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the cage accompanied by Shadows fall - Still I Rise. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Corey Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonathan Huang!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alves looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Huang.

Huang shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Huang was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

You get the feeling that Alves really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Huang wants to control the pace but Alves is squirming around nicely.

Huang goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Alves turns into him and now he's in Huang's guard.

Huang bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Alves's guard.

Huang throws a shot from downtown. Alves moves away and avoids it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Huang wants to control but Alves postures up.
Huang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Huang manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Alves is squirming around, avoiding Huang's attempts to control the action.

Huang has control of Alves's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Alves regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Huang is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Alves is in real trouble.

Even with his hooks in, Huang manages to miss with strikes from the back.
