Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jace Redred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jace Redred has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jace Redred!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Ryder!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ryder showed some decent athleticism there.
Redred wants to control but Ryder is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Redred is trying to maintain the position but Ryder is very close to passing his half guard.
Ryder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Redred. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ryder shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Redred has his foot on Ryder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ryder works his way back into a safe position though.

Ryder takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Ryder feints and as Redred raises his hands in defense, Ryder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Redred wants to pass the guard but Ryder is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Ryder fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Redred sprawls well initially but Ryder persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jacob Ryder.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Redred misses with a takedown attempt - Ryder sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Well Ryder has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
