Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Kelly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ron Arlowski!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly jabs at Arlowski's body.
Arlowski moves forwards but Kelly connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ron Arlowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kelly clinches up against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Arlowski lands a nice knee to the body.
Arlowski has had enough of the clinch but Kelly keeps him there for the moment.
Nice body punch from Kelly - that landed with a thud.
Kelly lands a shot to the body.
Kelly blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kelly lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kelly lands a body shot.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kelly.
Arlowski can't break the clinch.
Kelly lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Arlowski backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kelly.
Arlowski with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kelly lands a nice shot to the body.
Arlowski looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Arlowski takes a shot to the head.

Kelly breaks the clinch.
Kelly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Arlowski.
Kelly lands with a nice body punch.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kelly - that will leave a mark!

Kelly forces Arlowski back against the cage and clinches.
Arlowski's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Kelly is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Arlowski can't fight it off and eventually Kelly manages to take the fight to the floor. Arlowski looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kelly is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kelly has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kelly drops back looking for a leg! Arlowski is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arlowski manages to kick Kelly off! Kelly jumps back into Arlowski's guard.
Arlowski trying to keep a closed guard but Kelly is proving a slippery customer.

Arlowski working a defensive guard but Kelly passes into half guard.

Arlowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kelly is working away from the top position though.
Kelly trying to mount his opponent but Arlowski defends it.
Kelly works his way into side control.
Kelly working the ground and pound from side control.
Kelly is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Arlowski's shoulder. That is not cool.
Kelly lands some shots froms side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kelly controlling the position.

Kelly is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Arlowski is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Arlowski wants to control but Kelly postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Arlowski sneaks back into half guard.
Still in half guard, Kelly seems content to control.

Kelly seems to be working for a kimura but Arlowski defends the submission attempt.
Arlowski is trying to stand.
Kelly is looking to take a break and control but Arlowski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kelly scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kelly sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Arlowski defending well though.
Arlowski wants to improve his position but Kelly is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Kelly dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

letting Kelly counter with a right hand.

Kelly rushes Arlowski and presses him up against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Kelly lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Arlowski wants to break the clinch but can't.
Arlowski is pressed up against the cage. Kelly has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Arlowski down to the mat. Arlowski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Kelly counters by clinching up.

Kelly scores with a shot to the side of Arlowski's head.
Kelly works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Arlowski is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Arlowski takes a shot to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kelly.
Kelly lands a hook to the side of the head.
Arlowski is trying to break free.
Arlowski tries a knee to the head but Kelly blocks it.
Arlowski is trying to force a seperation but Kelly has the dominant position.
Kelly effectively controlling the action here.
Arlowski is breathing heavily.

A right hook to the body lands for Kelly.
Kelly throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Arlowskis head.
Kelly cracks Arlowski with a nice body shot.
A short uppercut from Kelly.

Kelly drags the fight down to the ground.
Kelly is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kelly is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Arlowski trying to control here.
Kelly passes into side control, despite Arlowski's attempt to control the position.
Arlowski takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kelly is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
You can see the frustration on Arlowski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kelly cracks Arlowski with a big elbow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Arlowski struggling a bit here.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Kelly lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Arlowski down.
Arlowski takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arlowski is trying to get back to his feet.
Kelly is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Kelly cracks Arlowski with a big right hand but Arlowski just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Kelly controls the position.
Kelly has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kelly scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Arlowski to see if he's OK.
Arlowski is trying to control Kelly's posture but Kelly avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kelly landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Arlowski is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kelly connects with a decent elbow.

Kelly is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Arlowski looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kelly gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Arlowski is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kelly lets go of the hold and Arlowski can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ken Kelly!
