PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Crim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryce Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Empire State of Mind as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crim throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Crim sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Crim slaps away a takedown attempt from Carter, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crim's waist but Crim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.

Crim lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Carter uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Carter is looking to clinch but Crim is avoiding it.

Carter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Crim's guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Carter connects with a nice short shot to Crim's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter tries to stand and escape but Crim is controlling the position.
Crim has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Carter is working away from the top position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Crim will probably get the nod.

Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Crim tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
