Ortiz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Break Stuff. Thompson has chosen The game as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thompson sprawls well. Thompson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ortiz gets slowly back to his feet.
Thompson tries to bum rush Ortiz with a series of wild strikes but Ortiz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thompson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Thompson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ortiz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Thompson's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Ortiz runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
