The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hores misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Houston connects with a high kick.

It looks like Morse Hores has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Hores as Houston shoots in.
Hores throws a low kick but Houston moves out of range easily.
Houston misses the jab.
Houston looks for a takedown but Hores sprawls well.

Houston gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Hores counters with a straight right hand.
Donk. Hores catches Houston right on the button with a cross.
Houston connects with a body shot that sends Hores's belly button to the back.

Hores moves away from the strike by Houston.
Hores moves forwards but Houston connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Houston tries to close the distance and clinch but Hores swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Houston drops his hands momentarily and Hores takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Houston misses with a straight right.
Hores throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hores on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hores swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Houston tries a low kick but Hores avoids it.

and Hores decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Houston's guard.
Morse Hores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Houston.
Houston wants to sweep here but Hores controlling him for the moment.
Houston has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Hores has passed into side control.
Houston tries to bench press Hores off him but Hores keeps the position.

Hores turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hores goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Houston throws a right hand that Hores ducks under and follows up with a left that Hores also avoids with ease.

Houston throws a sloppy head kick and Hores moves out of range easily.

Hores gets a takedown into half guard.

Houston is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hores's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hores's back!
Houston lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
