The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaiho walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kaiho throws a nice looking combination but VanHouten bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kaiho misses with a series of wild punches.
VanHouten misses the shot to the body.
VanHouten moves out of range of the strikes.
Kaiho throws out a powerful jab.
VanHouten checks a leg kick.
VanHouten ducks right into an uppercut from Kaiho.
Kaiho misses with an uppercut.

Kaiho connects with a solid leg kick.

Kaiho throws a hook but VanHouten blocks it.
VanHouten moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kaiho lands a nice shot that snaps VanHouten's head back.
VanHouten throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kaiho feints and then cracks VanHouten's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow VanHouten down.
Kaiho scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. VanHouten doesn't seem bothered though.

VanHouten gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kaiho.

and Kaiho takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
VanHouten throws a looping overhand right but Kaiho ducks down to avoid it.
VanHouten tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Kaiho.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kaiho.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kaiho, right into the meat.

and Kaiho counters with an inside leg kick.
VanHouten is breathing heavily.
VanHouten misses with a hook.
VanHouten takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kaiho scores with a hook to the body. VanHouten takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
VanHouten stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kaiho.
Kaiho moves in looking to clinch but VanHouten pushes him off.
Nice straight punches there by Kaiho. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kaiho.
Kaiho is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! VanHouten had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
VanHouten tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaiho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

VanHouten steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kaiho.
Kaiho throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck VanHouten on the side of the head.
Kaiho punishes VanHouten's body with a nice straight punch.
Kaiho throws a nice inside leg kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kaiho rushes VanHouten with punches - VanHouten moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, VanHouten goes down! Kaiho follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
