Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Romulo Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gordon's choice of entrance music: High Fidelity - Top Five Side 1s Track 1s. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Correa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gordon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Correa - that will leave a mark!
Correa lands a head kick!
Gordon shoots and misses
and Correa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gordon's knee momentarily.
Correa throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Rob Gordon has been cut.
Correa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gordon.
Correa lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A head kick misses from Correa.
Correa doesn't manage to clinch there - Gordon circles away.
A cross from Correa lands.

Correa looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gordon!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gordon tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Correa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gordon can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Correa is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.

Gordon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Gordon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Correa tries to stand but Gordon is controlling from the bottom.

Gordon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Correa defends it easily.

Gordon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Correa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gordon looks gassed!

Correa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Correa stalks Gordon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gordon's face. Gordon staggers backwards, shaken.
Correa tries to close the distance and clinch but Gordon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Correa lands a nice shot that snaps Gordon's head back.
Correa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Correa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gordon.
Correa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Correa connects with a high kick.

Gordon misses with a takedown attempt
and Correa counters with a big head kick but Gordon shrugs it off.
Correa darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Gordon is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Correa! Gordon is out on his feet! Correa rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Gordon is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Gordon is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
