The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rob to the mat! Rob manages to get full guard.
Rob preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Morales is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rob escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morales gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rob is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Morales pushes down on Rob's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Morales looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rob regains full guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rob wants to stand up but Morales is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morales drops back looking for a leg! Rob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rob manages to kick Morales off! Morales jumps back into Rob's guard.
Morales is breathing heavily.
Morales stops Rob from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Rob clobbers Morales with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nice sprawl there from Rob as Morales shoots in.
Rob fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Morales on the side of the head.
Rob throws a series of punches but Morales moves out of range.

Morales moves into the clinch.
Rob has had enough of the clinch but Morales keeps him there for the moment.
Morales drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rob pulls his leg out and moves away.
Good shot there by Rob.
Rob connects with a good right hand that stumbles Morales. Morales circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
No joy there for Rob, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rob cracks a nice hook into Morales's ribs.
Morales shoots for a double leg takedown but Rob sprawls well. He's pushed Morales's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrigo Morales. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rob lands with a shot to the body.
Rob connects with a right hand. Morales shakes it off.

Rob dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rob lands the left hand.
Rob lands a high kick!

Morales is rocked!
Rob connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Morales tumbling to the canvas! Rob pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Morales was done - good stoppage!
