The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadwater throws a right and a left that both miss.
Broadwater throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gonzalez's waist but Gonzalez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Broadwater off to one side.
Broadwater misses with a takedown attempt - Gonzalez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Gonzalez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
No luck for Broadwater with that takedown attempt.
Anthony Gonzalez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Broadwater.
Broadwater wants to land a leg kick but Gonzalez is out of range.

Broadwater changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gonzalez tries to avoid it but Broadwater manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gonzalez to the ground. Gonzalez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gonzalez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gonzalez wants it to stay on the feet.

Donk. Gonzalez catches Broadwater right on the button with a cross.

Gonzalez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Broadwater on the side of the head.

Broadwater is trying desperately to land a takedown but Gonzalez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Broadwater.

Jim Broadwater's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Gonzalez scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Broadwater doesn't seem bothered though.
Broadwater with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gonzalez to score with a decent uppercut.

Broadwater shoots for a double leg takedown but Gonzalez sprawls well. He's pushed Broadwater's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Broadwater is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gonzalez stalks Broadwater and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Broadwater's face. Broadwater staggers backwards, shaken.
